Preview vs mainnet

The app on this site is a preview. It looks and behaves like the real thing, so you can learn the flows, but nothing is on-chain yet. This page draws the line precisely.

What the preview does

• Signatures, not transactions. Every action (create a vault, deposit, request, cancel, rescue, change a setting) asks your connected wallet for an EIP-712 signature. A signature proves you agreed to the action. It costs nothing and moves nothing.
• State lives in your browser. The preview keeps the vault's state in your browser's local storage, one record per wallet address. Clear it and the vault is gone. Another browser or device starts fresh.
• Demo holdings. If your wallet holds none of the supported tokens, the preview shows demo balances so you have something to deposit. They are labelled as demo everywhere.
• Time you can fast-forward. A clock control runs the vault at one vault hour per 1s of real time, so the default 24h delay passes in 24 seconds. "Jump forward" buttons skip straight to the end of a delay, a notice period or the silence threshold.
• The drain demo on the landing page compresses the default delay into 24 seconds so you can watch a theft fail.

What mainnet will do

• Real vault contracts deployed on Robinhood Chain, one per owner wallet, created through a factory contract.
• Real deposits: the tokens leave your wallet and sit in the vault.
• Real delays measured in chain time, with no fast-forward and no jump buttons.
• Real fees: 0.10% on executed withdrawals, waived for $HILT stakers, split as described in Fees.
• Real gas, paid in ETH on Robinhood Chain.

What stays the same

The rules and the numbers. The preview runs the same logic the contracts will: the same default delay, the same bounds, the same silence clause, the same fee. Parameters lists them, and the preview, the app and this documentation all read them from one place.

The switch

The site switches from preview to on-chain automatically when the vault factory address is configured (the NEXT_PUBLIC_VAULT_FACTORY_ADDRESS setting). Until that address is set, the app runs in preview mode and shows the preview notice on every screen. Once it is set, the same screens talk to the deployed contracts on Robinhood Chain.

Verified token addresses

The preview reads real balances of these tokens from Robinhood Chain. Each address was verified against Robinhood's official sources on 2026-10-08: USDG against the Robinhood Chain contract list and the Paxos USDG documentation, and each Stock Token against Robinhood's own Stock Token API.
